Tikkun Holistic SpaSM Policies and Service Guidelines
Appointments
To make an appointment, please call Tikkun during business hours at 310.319.1111. A major
credit card is required to hold your reservation. To ensure availability, we suggest you reserve
appointments in advance. We make every effort to accommodate last minute or walk in appointments, but reservations are recommended.
Cancellations
Due to the individualized nature of services we offer, our massage therapists and skin care specialists prepare treatment rooms, equipment and products in advance for each client. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know at least 6 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. We reserve the right to charge for appointments not cancelled within this period.
Check-In
We encourage clients to arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of their scheduled reservation to allow
time to check in, shower, change clothes and relax in our heated treatment rooms or the herbal soaking pool for women. To ensure a relaxed environment for all of our guests, we ask that you turn off cellular phones upon arrival. For first time guests, please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to scheduled appointments to complete a pre-service questionnaire.
Jewelry, Cell Phones and Valuables
We advise that you leave jewelry, cell phones, and valuables at home. If you have valuables with you, please secure them in your locker and do not carry them in your pocket. Tikkun assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen articles. Tikkun is a cell phone free zone. As a courtesy to our guests, use of cell phones is strictly prohibited and we request you mute your phone before entering the spa.
Pregnancy and Medical Conditions
Completion of a pre-treatment medical questionnaire is required before any service at Tikkun. Certain treatments, products or heated rooms may not be advisable for you. Before your treatment begins, please inform your therapist or esthetician of any additional medical concerns or if you are wearing contact lenses.
Skin Care Services and Sun Exposure
Please avoid the sun on the day of treatment and, in some cases, one day or more, as instructed, depending on service provided. We encourage clients to always wear sun protection and a hat when sun exposure can occur.
Eating and Drinking
We do not recommend eating at least one hour prior to a treatment. We also discourage the consumption of alcohol on the day of a treatment. Drink plenty of water before and after treatments, especially if the heat treatments rooms and saunas are used. Self serve beverage areas are provided throughout the spa to help you stay hydrated.
Children
To maintain a relaxing atmosphere for our guests we request that you do not bring children to the facility under 16 years of age. On occasion, family events will be provided and children will be welcome to join their parents for a day at Tikkun.
Payment
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, debit cards, personal checks and cash in
addition to and Tikkun Gift Cards.
Gratuities
Gratuities are not included in our prices. Between 15 and 20 percent for each person who gave
you a service is customary. It’s easiest to leave a tip at the reception desk when you pay your bill rather than giving it directly to the therapist. We provide small tipping envelopes at the front desk or you can add gratuity onto your credit card or personal check.
Gift Certificate Policy
Gift Certificates are available in any amount. Certificates can be redeemed towards service and merchandise. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged or misplaced certificates. Value of purchased gift certificates for specific treatments or packages is subject to change after one year of issue.
Refunds, Gift Certificates, Package Series, and Products
Except for replacing damaged products, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits on spa
services, gift certificates, package series or retail products. All sales are final.
